On behalf of the OHS Region 5 Training & Technical Assistance (TTA) Network, please see the information AND APPLICATION regarding the upcoming Office of Head Start Practice Based Coaching Implementation Academy (PBCIA). This academy is the “next generation” of the Practice Based Coaching Leadership Academy. It is an opportunity for grantee coaching implementation teams to analyze their current professional development efforts and develop and/or update a plan, using PBC, to implement a research-based coordinated coaching strategy, that includes intensive coaching, as indicated in the Head Start Program Performance Standards.
The Illinois PBCIA will be held at the Illinois Head Start/IACCA training room at 3435 Liberty Drive Springfield IL, April 21-23, 2020 (9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. each day). Grantees interested in attending the PBCIA event must complete and email the attached application to Jan Brown, Early Childhood Specialist, by February 24, 2020.
A maximum of ten (10) grantees will be accepted to participate, and all participants are expected to be in attendance for the duration of the full 3-day training. Grantees selected to participate in the PBCIA will be notified by Monday, March 16, 2020.
IHSA will provide PBCIA materials, meals and snacks at a cost of $225.00 per person. Once grantee teams are chosen you will be provided a link to IHSA for registration and payment. Grantee will be responsible for arranging and costs of travel and lodging.
